Petite Golden Retrievers

Timshell Farm’s previously- bred, Petite Golden Retrievers are 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. These puppies grow up to look like very small, beautiful Golden Retrievers, with larger eyes, wide faces and shorter noses. They have longer ears with little curls, tails that are beautifully “plumed” and great feathering on legs and chest. Below are some photos of our Petite Golden Retrievers. We are no longer breeding for the 50-50 blend.

The Petite Golden Retrievers are almost identical, when grown, to our “Golden Cava-Doodles” with the Silky/Spaniel coats. So, for families that desire the “Petite Golden Retriever” – we suggest considering a Golden Cava-Doodle with the silky/Spaniel coat. See below for explanation!

The Golden Cava-Doodles are 25% Golden Retriever, 25% Poodle and 50% Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. The Golden Cava-Doodle puppies have two, distinctly different coat types.

(1) Fluffy/Doodle Coats: Some of the Golden Cava-Doodle puppies have the “Fluffy or Doodle” type coat that is longer and soft wavy/curly and these puppies resemble Goldendoodles when grown.

(2) Silky/Spaniel Coats: Some of the Golden Cava-Doodle puppies have the “Silky/Spaniel” type coat, and they grow up to look more like the Spaniel or Retriever – almost identical in looks and temperament to the Petite Golden Retrievers.

So, if you desire a Petite Golden Retriever, this coat type, compact size, great disposition, appearance and sweet personality you are looking for are all found in the Golden Cava-Doodles with the Silky/Spaniel coats! Your puppy will be likely to have the added sprinkling of the poodle’s traits which are a sparkly intelligence and lower shedding coat!
